Weekend Warwick Pet Care Professional (Pet Sitting & Dog Walking)
About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is seeking experienced and reliable Pet Care Professionals for weekend pet sitting and dog walking roles in Warwick, RI. This is a long-term, part-time position for individuals passionate about providing exceptional care to pets and their families. The ideal candidate is comfortable with various animal types and sizes, possesses reliable transportation, a smartphone, and strong communication skills. We are a well-established company, in business since 2006, known for our high standards of professionalism and commitment to quality pet care. Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Prior professional animal care experience (e.g., pet sitting, dog walking, veterinary clinic, animal shelter, dog daycare, grooming, training, veterinary technician, animal care technician, internships/externships, equine/farm animal care, wildlife rehabilitation).
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access.
- Daily access to email and the internet.
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit documentation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors walking dogs year-round in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Consistent weekend availability (Saturdays & Sundays) for a minimum of 4-6 hours each weekend day during service hours (7 am-9 pm).
- Ability to work approximately 10+ hours per week.
- Seeking a long-term part-time position.
Nice To Haves
- Additional weekday availability is a plus and may provide opportunities for more hours.
- Certified Vet Techs, Certified Dog Trainers, and Fear Free Certified Professionals may receive additional pay.
Responsibilities
- Perform dog walking, exercising dogs, and providing bathroom breaks.
- Conduct pet sitting for dogs, cats, and other small animals, including feeding and administering medications.
- Clean litter boxes and provide love and attention to pets.
- Travel frequently between clients' homes to care for their companions.
- Follow detailed care instructions provided by clients and within the client management system.
- Leave notes for clients after each visit detailing the care provided.
