AM & PM Warwick Pet Care Professional (Pet Sitting & Dog Walking)
About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is seeking experienced Pet Care Professionals for AM (Morning) and PM (Evening) pet sitting and dog walking roles in Warwick, RI. The ideal candidate has prior professional animal care experience, is reliable, passionate about pets, and comfortable with various animals including dogs of all sizes, cats, and small animals. This role requires reliable transportation, a smartphone, the ability to work independently, and strong communication and customer service skills. Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC, established in 2006 and recognized as a Top 3 Pet Service Company for nine consecutive years, is committed to providing the highest quality of care. This is a long-term, part-time position with consistent morning and evening availability required throughout the week.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Prior professional animal care experience (defined as professional, volunteer, or educational settings such as veterinary hospitals, shelters, grooming salons, training facilities, etc.).
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access.
- Daily access to email and the internet.
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit documentation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors walking dogs year-round in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Consistent Morning and Evening availability Monday through Sunday (1-2 hours between 7-9 am and 6-9 pm).
- Minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Seeking a long-term part-time position.
Nice To Haves
- Additional daytime availability.
- Experience with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, as well as cats and other small animals.
- Certified Vet Techs, Certified Dog Trainers, Fear Free Certified Professionals.
- Pre-vet students, dog groomers, kennel workers, doggie daycare workers, animal shelter volunteers / animal rescue workers.
Responsibilities
- Conducting dog walks, exercising dogs, and providing bathroom breaks.
- Pet sitting, feeding, and administering medications as needed.
- Providing care for cats and other small animals, including litter box cleaning.
- Offering love and attention to pets while clients are away or occupied.
- Traveling between clients' homes to care for their companions.
- Following detailed care instructions provided by clients and within the client management system.
- Leaving notes for clients after each visit to update them on their pet's care.
