AM & PM Providence Pet Care Professional (Pet Sitting & Dog Walking)
About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is hiring experienced Pet Care Professionals for Pet Sitting & Dog Walking for the AMs (Mornings) & PMs (Evenings) in Providence RI. The ideal candidate has prior professional animal care experience, is reliable, and passionate about providing exceptional pet care. Comfort with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, as well as cats and other small animals, is essential. Requirements include reliable transportation, a smartphone, the ability to work independently, and good communication/customer service skills. The company is seeking individuals who love to learn, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference daily. This is a long-term, part-time position. Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC has been in business since 2006, offering dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight pet sitting. Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Prior professional animal care experience
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Smartphone with reliable internet access
- Daily access to email and the internet
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication and visit documentation
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors walking dogs year round in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
- Consistent Morning and Evening availability Monday through Sunday. At least 1-2 hours of availability between the hours of 7-9am and again between 6-9pm.
- 10-20 hours per week
Nice To Haves
- Additional daytime availability is a plus and may provide opportunities for more hours.
- Certified Vet Techs, Certified Dog Trainers and Fear Free Certified Professionals
Responsibilities
- Visits include dog walking, exercising dogs, letting out for bathroom breaks, pet sitting, feeding, administering medications (when applicable), cat care/small animal care, litter box cleaning and providing love & attention and exceptional care while clients are away from home or pre-occupied with work.
- Frequent travel between clients homes throughout your assigned service areas to care for their companions while they are at work or on vacation
- Following detailed care instructions provided by the client and within our client management system
- Leave a note for clients after each visit so they know how the visits went.
