About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is seeking experienced and reliable Pet Care Professionals for weekend pet sitting and dog walking roles in Coventry, RI, and surrounding areas. This is a long-term, part-time position for individuals passionate about providing exceptional care to pets and their families. The ideal candidate is comfortable with various animal types and sizes, possesses reliable transportation, a smartphone, and strong independent work and communication skills. The company has been in business since 2006, offering dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight pet sitting services, and has been recognized as a top pet service company for nine consecutive years. They are committed to the highest level of professionalism and care for their clients' beloved animals.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Prior professional animal care experience (e.g., pet sitting, dog walking, veterinary hospital, animal shelter, dog daycare, grooming salon, training, vet tech, animal care technician, internships/externships, equine/farm animal care, wildlife rehabilitation).
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access.
- Daily access to email and the internet.
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit documentation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors walking dogs year-round in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Consistent weekend availability (Saturdays & Sundays) for a minimum of 4-6 hours each day during service hours (7 am-9 pm).
- Ability to work approximately 10+ hours per week.
- Seeking a long-term part-time position.

- Certified Vet Techs, Certified Dog Trainers, and Fear Free Certified Professionals may receive additional pay.
Responsibilities
- Perform dog walking, exercise dogs, and provide bathroom breaks.
- Conduct pet sitting for dogs, cats, and other small animals, including feeding and administering medications.
- Clean litter boxes and provide love and attention to pets.
- Travel frequently between clients' homes to care for their companions.
- Follow detailed care instructions provided by clients and within the client management system.
- Leave notes for clients after each visit detailing how the visits went.
