Evening Coventry Pet Care Professional (Pet Sitting & Dog Walking)
About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is seeking experienced Pet Care Professionals for evening pet sitting and dog walking roles in Coventry, West Greenwich, and West Warwick, RI. The ideal candidate has prior professional animal care experience, is reliable, passionate about pets, and comfortable with various animals. This is a long-term, part-time position requiring consistent evening availability Monday through Friday, with potential for additional weekday/weekend hours. The role involves frequent travel between clients' homes to provide services such as dog walking, feeding, administering medication, litter box cleaning, and offering love and attention. Candidates must follow detailed care instructions and document visits using a client management system.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Prior professional animal care experience.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access.
- Daily access to email and the internet.
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit documentation.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors walking dogs year-round in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Consistent evening availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 5-9pm, 6-9pm, or 7-9pm.
- Availability for 10+ hours per week.
Nice To Haves
- Additional weekday/weekend availability is a plus and may provide opportunities for more hours.
- Certified Vet Techs, Certified Dog Trainers, and Fear Free Certified Professionals may receive additional pay.
Responsibilities
- Dog walking, exercising dogs, and letting them out for bathroom breaks.
- Pet sitting for dogs, cats, and other small animals, including feeding and administering medications.
- Cat care and small animal care, including litter box cleaning.
- Providing love, attention, and exceptional care to pets while clients are away or occupied.
- Frequent travel between clients' homes throughout assigned service areas.
- Following detailed care instructions provided by the client and within the client management system.
- Leaving notes for clients after each visit to update them on how the visits went.
