The Personal Training Director is the business owner of the Personal Training department at one assigned club location, accountable for its overall performance, profitability, and member experience. The Director leads by example, upholds Company standards, serves as the location’s fitness-expertise reference, and recruits, develops, and retains a high-quality training team. The position maintains trainer headcount and capacity to meet member demand and is accountable for departmental revenue, new-client enrollment, client retention, and client results. The Director also personally services qualifying Personal Training sessions and maintains an active client base. The role is expected to resolve substantially all business, operational, staffing, and performance matters within the department. When the department has a vacancy or is below its approved staffing plan, the Director maintains member service levels and session delivery while prioritizing recruitment. Matters requiring formal legal or Human Resources involvement, changes to approved plans or budgets, or other matters designated by Company policy must be escalated to the appropriate Company leadership. The Director leads the Personal Training department at one club and manages or provides leadership oversight to Personal Training Directors in Training, Elite Trainers, Master Trainers, and Personal Trainers. The role owns departmental revenue and staffing performance; ensures payroll, employment documentation, certifications, onboarding, and systems are maintained in compliance with Company policy; supports client experience and retention; protects financial integrity; and drives retail and supplementation sales. Success depends on business acumen, people leadership, coaching excellence, data-driven decision-making, client focus, accountability, and follow-through. The position is based at a single assigned club location, with occasional travel for Company meetings, training, regional events, and new club support. It is exempt and requires a significant time commitment, including regular evenings, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require, with consistent presence on the training floor during peak member hours. Scheduling is coordinated with the Regional Director of Fitness based on the location’s operational needs.
