About The Position

The Personal Training Director is the business owner of the Personal Training department at one assigned club location and is accountable for the department’s overall performance, profitability, and member experience. The role leads by example, upholds Company standards, serves as the location’s fitness-expertise point of reference, and recruits, develops, and retains a high-quality training team. The Director maintains trainer headcount and capacity to meet member demand and is responsible for departmental targets, including revenue, new-client enrollment, client retention, and client results. The Director also personally delivers qualifying Personal Training sessions and maintains an active client base. The position has leadership responsibility for the Personal Training department at a single club location and directly manages or provides leadership oversight for Personal Training Directors in Training, Elite Trainers, Master Trainers, and Personal Trainers. It is expected to resolve most departmental business, operational, staffing, and performance matters at the location. Certain matters—including formal workplace investigations, termination and leave decisions requiring HR review, legal matters, changes to approved plans or Company-established programs, and other policy-designated matters—must be escalated to the appropriate Company leadership. This is an exempt role based at a single assigned club location. It requires a significant time commitment, including regular evenings, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require, with consistent presence on the training floor during peak member hours. Scheduling is coordinated with the Regional Director of Fitness. Occasional travel is required for Company meetings, training, regional events, and new-club support as business needs require.
