The Personal Training Director owns the Personal Training department at one assigned club location and is accountable for its performance, profitability, and member experience. The Director leads by example, upholds Company standards, serves as the location’s fitness expert, and recruits, develops, and retains a high-quality training team. The role maintains trainer staffing and capacity to meet member demand and is accountable for revenue, new-client enrollment, retention, and client results. The Director also personally services qualifying Personal Training sessions and maintains an active client base. The role is the first point of resolution for business, operational, staffing, and performance matters within the department, subject to defined escalation requirements. Matters involving formal workplace investigations, protected employee-relations issues, termination decisions, leave administration, legal matters, changes to approved plans or budgets, and other issues designated by Company policy must be escalated to the appropriate Company leadership. The position leads the Personal Training department at one club and manages or provides leadership oversight for Personal Training Directors in Training, Elite Trainers, Master Trainers, and Personal Trainers. The Director oversees team recruitment and development, departmental revenue and retail performance, staffing and payroll practices, compliance with employment documentation and professional credentials, technology and data systems, client service and retention, and financial integrity. The role uses Company platforms and reporting tools to monitor results, identify at-risk clients, and guide business decisions. It also supports local marketing and member-engagement initiatives. This is an exempt position based at a single assigned club location, with occasional travel for Company meetings, training, regional events, and new-club support. The schedule requires regular evenings, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require, including consistent presence on the training floor during peak member hours. Scheduling is coordinated with the Regional Director of Fitness. Physical duties include demonstrating and participating in fitness activities, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
