About The Position

The Personal Training Director is the business owner of the Personal Training department at one assigned club location and is accountable for its performance, profitability, and member experience. The Director leads by example, upholds Company standards, serves as the location’s fitness expertise point of reference, and recruits, develops, and retains a high-quality training team. The role maintains trainer headcount and capacity to meet member demand and is accountable for revenue, new-client enrollment, client retention, and client results. The Director also personally services qualifying Personal Training sessions and maintains an active client base. The position is the first line of resolution for most business, operational, staffing, and performance matters within the department. It leads or oversees Personal Training Directors in Training, Elite Trainers, Master Trainers, and Personal Trainers. Matters requiring Human Resources, Legal, Regional Director of Fitness, or other designated Company leadership involvement must be escalated rather than handled independently. The role owns departmental revenue performance, staffing and payroll compliance, training capacity, client experience and retention, data and system use, financial integrity, and retail performance. It is based at a single assigned club location, with occasional travel for Company meetings, training, regional events, and new club support. This is an exempt position requiring regular evening and weekend work and extended hours as business needs require, with consistent presence on the training floor during peak member hours. Scheduling is coordinated with the Regional Director of Fitness based on location needs.
