About The Position

The Personal Shopper at Sam’s Club supports Membership by explaining membership benefits, promoting Company products and services, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and participating in sales and marketing events to help meet Membership goals. The role fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by selecting, scanning, wrapping, and palletizing merchandise; verifying order and invoice accuracy; securing items until pickup; and following up on out-of-stock merchandise. It also provides Member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting products and services.

The position maintains facility safety by following safety standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift-spotting and hazardous-material handling procedures, complying with steel standards, and correcting or reporting unsafe conditions to Management. Associates complete work assignments using Company policies, data, and resources; collaborate with coworkers and business partners; manage priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvements; and adapt to change and feedback.

The role is expected to uphold Company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity, and demonstrate respect for individuals, teamwork, accountability, customer and Member service, continuous improvement, and Walmart’s stated values. The position is based at the Sam’s Club location at 5550 S. Clack St, Abilene, Texas. The stated hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00, with possible premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specified circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Support Membership by explaining benefits, promoting Company products and services, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and participating in sales and marketing events to help meet Membership goals.
• Maintain facility safety by following safety standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift-spotting procedures and hazardous-material handling and disposal procedures, complying with steel standards, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations to Management.
• Fulfill Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, selecting items, scanning, wrapping and palletizing merchandise, checking order and invoice accuracy, securing items until pickup, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise.
• Complete assignments and priorities using Company policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; manage priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvements; and adapt to change and feedback.
• Provide Member service by acknowledging Members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting Company products and services.
• Comply with Company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, including implementing action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
• Demonstrate respect for individuals, build trusting team relationships, communicate positively, help develop and mentor others, and recognize others’ contributions.
