About The Position
The Personal Shopper at Sam's Club supports Membership by explaining membership benefits, promoting company products and services, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and participating in sales and marketing events to help meet membership goals. The role fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by locating and scanning merchandise, wrapping and palletizing items, verifying order and invoice accuracy, securing orders for pickup, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise. The position provides Member service by acknowledging Members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting company offerings. It maintains facility safety by following safety procedures and standards, conducting safety sweeps, using proper forklift spotting practices, safely handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and reporting or correcting unsafe situations. The associate completes work assignments by setting priorities, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners, communicating progress, and adapting to feedback and change. The role is expected to uphold company policies, ethics, and integrity and demonstrate Walmart's values, including respect for individuals, teamwork, accountability, customer service, continuous improvement, and support for the company's goal of becoming a regenerative company.
Responsibilities
- Explain Membership benefits, promote company products and services, process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and participate in sales and marketing events to help meet Membership goals.
- Maintain facility safety by following standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials properly, following steel standard guidelines, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations.
- Fulfill Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, pulling and scanning items, wrapping and palletizing merchandise, verifying order and invoice accuracy, securing orders until pickup, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise.
- Complete assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with others; identifying deadlines and expectations; communicating progress; recommending improvements; and adapting to change and feedback.
- Provide Member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including using the Open Door Policy and implementing related action plans.
- Build trusting relationships, communicate positively, work as a team, and help develop and mentor others.
- Deliver results while prioritizing customers and Members, making informed decisions, and considering the impact of work on team outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement by learning, using new technologies and skills, and helping others through change.
