About The Position

RISE Personal Care Specialists engage one-on-one with patients and/or customers throughout their visit to the retail area, helping them find products and consumption methods suited to their needs. The role calls for a friendly, upbeat, customer-focused approach and strong knowledge of the dispensary’s menu. Specialists help educate customers about products, consumption methods, and safety, and support smooth, compliant store operations across front-of-house, back-of-house, and maintenance assignments. The position involves working in a patient- and customer-facing dispensary environment, following applicable cannabis regulations and company procedures, maintaining store presentation and inventory, and contributing to a positive and communicative workplace. Requirements

At least one year of customer service experience.
Meet scheduling and availability requirements, including varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends, to meet business needs.
Maintain reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance.
Be at least 21 years old.
Pass all required background checks, including state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
Possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.
Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
Listen well and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with varied audiences.
Follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism from managers.
Operate with professionalism and integrity, including handling confidential information and complying with HIPAA requirements.
Perform prolonged periods of movement around the dispensary, stationary work when required, direct communication with individuals and groups, point-of-sale and office-productivity equipment use, order preparation and product handling, and inspection and receipt of detailed information.
Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently.
Position self to move inventory and materials in storage areas.

Nice To Haves

Specialty, customer-facing retail experience.
Prior knowledge of cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, GTI products, and cannabis therapies.
Previous experience with point-of-sale systems.
Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes, organizational rules, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing retail environment.
Educate patients and/or customers about products, methods of consumption, and safety.
Use product and consumption-method knowledge to recommend a safe and effective regimen suited to each person’s needs.
Remain up to date on product knowledge.
Promote a positive, communicative, patient- and customer-oriented work environment.
Help verify order deliveries for accuracy.
Support management in smooth, proper, and compliant retail store operations, including daily activities, maintenance, and handling reported issues or complaints involving patient information.
Enforce and uphold local and state cannabis regulations.
Keep the sales floor stocked and maintain the store’s presentation and compliance.
Maintain hard-copy files as required.
Follow security measures and safety compliance procedures.
Complete assigned workstation duties during scheduled shifts, including front-of-house check-in, sales floor, point of sale, curbside, and roll-through work; back-of-house fulfillment, receiving, replenishment, and inventory counts; and maintenance.
Uphold cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the dispensary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
