About The Position

ABC Home Healthcare has immediate openings for PC-Homemakers, HHAs, CNAs, and nursing students to work one-on-one with elderly clients in their homes. The position offers local assignments and flexible schedules, with full-time and part-time opportunities available. Care is provided in accordance with each client’s care plan and under the direction of a Clinical Manager or HHA Supervisor. Assignments are available in the communities served by ABC Home Healthcare, with live-in caregiver services also offered throughout the state.

Requirements

Personal Care Certificate, current nursing student status, or related experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and speak).
Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel or squat, push, and pull; required assistance depends on the client’s mobility.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care as directed by the Clinical Manager or HHA Supervisor, including bathing, oral care, grooming, dressing and undressing, and toileting.
May record changes in clients’ weight and skin condition.
Follow the client’s care plan.
Assist with daily tasks, including meal preparation, feeding, changing linens, light housekeeping, and shopping.
May accompany clients outside the home.
Engage with clients and provide companionship.
