Home Health Aide | CNA | Nursing Students - Earn up to $1000 Sign-on Bonus
About The Position
ABC Home Healthcare has immediate openings for Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Nursing Students to provide one-on-one care to elderly clients in their homes. The agency offers local opportunities with flexible schedules, including long blocks of care for one client and shorter shifts with several clients per day. Available schedules include days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with opportunities across the communities served by the agency and statewide live-in caregiver services. Caregivers provide care according to the client’s care plan and the direction of a Clinical Manager or HHA Supervisor. Duties may include personal care, assistance with daily tasks, companionship, and accompanying clients outside the home. ABC Home Healthcare is a local, family-owned home care agency serving the Greater Boston, North Shore, Gloucester/Cape Ann, and Merrimack Valley communities for over 15 years.
Requirements
- Hold current, valid state HHA or CNA certification in good standing, and/or be a current Nursing Student.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be able to communicate in English by reading, writing, and speaking.
- Be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel or squat, and push and pull; the level of assistance required depends on the client’s mobility.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide client care as directed by the Clinical Manager or HHA Supervisor and in accordance with the client’s care plan.
- Assist with bathing, oral care, grooming, dressing and undressing, and toileting.
- Record changes in a client’s weight and skin condition when needed.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, changing linens, light housekeeping, and shopping.
- Accompany clients outside the home when needed.
- Engage with clients and provide companionship.
