About The Position

ABC Home Healthcare is hiring Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Nursing Students to provide one-to-one care to elderly clients in their homes. The agency is local and family-owned, serving communities in East Central Middlesex County, the North Shore, Gloucester/Cape Ann, and Merrimack Valley in Massachusetts. Live-in caregivers are also provided throughout the state.

Caregivers provide compassionate support according to each client's care plan and as directed by a Clinical Manager or HHA Supervisor. Duties may include personal care, help with daily activities, companionship, and accompanying clients outside the home. ABC offers flexible scheduling and work locations, online and onsite training, and access to ABC staff 24/7.

New ABC field staff may earn a sign-on bonus of $100 for every 100 hours worked, up to $1,000. The bonus is calculated based on hours worked during the first six months after hire. The posting also advertises an employee referral bonus of up to $1,000, competitive pay with additional compensation for specialty cases, evenings, and weekends, travel pay, and full IRS-rate mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

• Current, valid state H.H.A. or C.N.A. certification in good standing, and/or current Nursing Student status.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate in English by reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel or squat, push, and pull; the level of assistance required depends on the client's mobility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care as directed by a Clinical Manager or HHA Supervisor.
• Assist clients with bathing, oral care, grooming, dressing and undressing, and toileting.
• Record changes in clients' weight and skin condition when needed.
• Provide care according to each client's care plan.
• Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, feeding, changing linens, light housekeeping, and shopping.
• Accompany clients outside the home when needed.
• Engage with clients and provide companionship.
