About The Position

ABC Home Healthcare has immediate openings for Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Nursing Students to provide one-on-one care to elderly clients in their homes. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible schedules and work in the communities served by the agency. The agency is family-owned and has provided home care services to Greater Boston, the North Shore, Gloucester, Cape Ann, and the Merrimack Valley for over 15 years.

Requirements

Hold a current, valid state HHA or CNA certification in good standing and/or be a current Nursing Student.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to communicate in English by reading, writing, and speaking.
Be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel or squat, push, and pull; the level of assistance required depends on the client's mobility.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide care as directed by the Clinical Manager or HHA Supervisor, including bathing, oral care, grooming, dressing and undressing, and toileting.
Record changes in a client's weight and skin condition when needed.
Follow the client's care plan.
Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, feeding, changing linens, light housekeeping, and shopping.
Accompany clients outside the home when needed.
Engage with clients and provide companionship.
