About The Position

Personal Care Aides provide hands-on daily living support to clients in their homes, helping them live safely and independently. The role includes personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship, and help with errands and transportation. The position is offered full-time and part-time, with flexible daytime, evening, or weekend shift options in the Jarrettsville service area. Training is available for suitable candidates.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the service area.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Follow infection-control and safety protocols.
Friendly, clear communication and respect for client dignity and confidentiality.
Dependability and attention to detail, including noticing changes in clients’ conditions.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a PCA, caregiver, home health aide (HHA), or certified nursing assistant (CNA) is a plus; training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers.
Guide clients with ambulation, walker or wheelchair use, and therapist-directed range-of-motion routines.
Plan and prepare simple, balanced meals and monitor hydration.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry, and conduct fall-prevention checks.
Provide medication reminders and report changes in clients’ conditions to the supervising nurse.
Offer companionship through conversation, games, and escorted outings.
Drive or accompany clients to appointments, grocery stores, and community activities.
