Personal Care Aide
About The Position
Consumer Direct Care Network assists members in Wisconsin with finding providers who fit their needs, helping members direct their own supports and remain in their homes as long as possible. This opportunity is for an experienced caregiver or former C.N.A. with an easygoing personality who enjoys animals and helping others. The client is located in Columbus, Wisconsin. The schedule is 20 hours per week, spread across seven days, with 2–3 hours of work in the afternoon or evening each day. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that Member or Managing Party—not CDCN—will be the legal employer and has sole authority to hire or dismiss the Direct Care Worker.
Requirements
- Previous experience is preferred or highly desired.
- Must pass a background check before hire.
- Must have a driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience or prior work as a C.N.A.
- An easygoing personality and enjoyment of animals.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, transferring to the toilet, grooming, and dressing.
- Dispose of catheter-related waste.
- Accompany the client on shopping trips.
- Prepare meals.
- Do laundry.
- Perform housekeeping.
- Assist with wheelchair transfers.
