About The Position
As a Care Aide at Pickering Manor, you will provide compassionate support and assistance to individuals in long-term care and home settings. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will provide personal care, prepare meals, and facilitate daily activities for residents. The role emphasizes resident rights and dignity and helping promote a safe, nurturing environment. The position is part-time, with day shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Employees working evenings receive a $3.00 shift differential. The listed hourly salary range is $18.50–$19.50.
Requirements
- Experience in long-term care and home and community care settings.
- Proficiency in personal care and caregiving techniques.
- High school graduate.
- Pennsylvania Direct Care Worker certification.
- CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of first aid and assisted living practices.
- Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and memory care.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and Alzheimer’s.
