About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Wausau, Wisconsin, to provide personalized, home-based care that helps seniors live safely and happily at home. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, household tasks, meals, transportation, mobility, medication reminders, and companionship. Aides document clients’ conditions, report concerns to a supervisor, and help maintain a safe home environment. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to help seniors live safely at home.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
- Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
- Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
- Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
