About The Position

Abbott’s nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, including Similac, PediaSure, and Pedialyte. The Pediatric Office Sales Specialist promotes, manages, and grows Abbott Nutritional products in office settings. The territory includes Richmond, Williamsburg, and Charlottesville, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be based in Richmond; relocation is not offered, and local candidates are requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of two years of sales experience in a medical office setting.
• Technical knowledge relevant to the role.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians and nurses.
• Effective administrative skills.
• Budget management ability.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and autonomy.

• Develop and support territory sales goals in each physician’s office service area for Similac, PediaSure, and Pedialyte.
• Call on pediatric, OB-GYN, and family practices.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines, and deliver that information in a selling environment.
• Support new product launches.
• Work effectively with physicians and nurses.
• Manage budgets.
• Work independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
