About The Position

Abbott’s nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, including Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Ensure, and Glucerna. The Pediatric Office Sales Specialist promotes, manages, and grows Abbott Nutritional products in office settings. The role supports territory sales goals for Similac, PediaSure, and Pedialyte and calls on pediatric, OB-GYN, and family practices. The territory includes Richmond, Williamsburg, and Charlottesville, Virginia. The ideal candidate is based in Richmond; relocation is not offered, and local candidates are requested. The position is listed as remote and requires travel 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of two years of sales experience in a medical office setting.
• Technically knowledgeable.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians and nurses.
• Effective administrative skills and budget management ability.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support territory sales goals in each physician’s office service area for Similac, PediaSure, and Pedialyte.
• Call on pediatric, OB-GYN, and family practices.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines, and deliver that information in a selling environment.
• Support new product launches.
• Work effectively with physicians and nurses.
• Perform administrative duties and manage budgets.
• Function independently with initiative, independence, and autonomy.
• Pursue short- and long-term goals with self-motivation.
