About The Position
Connect Pediatrics is looking for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their team in the Garland/Addison area. The role involves providing comprehensive and well-coordinated in-home care to pediatric patients, building lasting relationships with patients and families. The position is with a fast-growing team dedicated to changing lives.
Requirements
- A valid, active Occupational Therapy license and/or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Texas
- Current BLS/CPR License
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and automotive insurance
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, using standardized tests to determine pediatric patients' needs for therapy (OT only)
- Use clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physician's orders. (OT only)
- Provide in-home therapy services for pediatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
- Engage with patients' families, providing them with regular communication and updates on goals for their child.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapy disciplines, physicians, and nurses, to develop holistic treatment plans that address the diverse needs of each patient.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation that reflects the care provided and communicates changes in treatment plans to the entire healthcare team.
- Actively participate in one-on-one meetings with team leads to discuss patient progress, share insights, and refine treatment strategies collaboratively.
