About The Position

Axcess is hiring a Pediatric Home Care RN to provide compassionate in-home nursing care to children with special needs and disabilities across South Carolina. This position serves a 1-year-old female client in the Summerville area who needs assistance with all activities of daily living, G-tube feedings, and incontinence care. The child can crawl, is close to walking, and is minimally verbal.

The nurse will support the child and parents or guardians during care visits. Depending on the child's needs, care may include medication administration, catheter or tracheostomy care, wound care, ventilator care, assistance with ADLs, and accompanying parents to appointments and therapies. Light housekeeping and laundry may also be required.

The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Axcess provides home care services to children who qualify for aide services through Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.

Requirements

• Hold an active RN license to practice in South Carolina.
• Have at least one year of clinical experience.
• Complete annual TB testing.
• Hold current CPR certification.
• Pass a SLED background check.
• Pass a drug test.
• Be physically able to provide care to a child with special needs.
• Have a valid driver's license and insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a child with special needs in the home.
• Assist with all activities of daily living, G-tube feedings, and incontinence care.
• Provide other care as needed, which may include medication administration, catheter care, tracheostomy care, wound care, and ventilator care.
• Accompany parents to appointments and therapies as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
