Evening PCA Needed
About The Position
Charter Oak Home Care is seeking experienced personal care assistants (PCA), home health aides (HHA), or certified nursing assistants (CNA) to provide care to older adults in their homes. Caregivers help implement personalized care plans and schedules, support clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and contribute to their independence and quality of life. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours and are available from 4 p.m. onward, Monday through Friday, with weekend work also available. Caregivers may design a part-time or full-time schedule, with 4–40 hours per week available. Charter Oak Home Care is a family-run organization that has served Connecticut seniors since 1985, helping them remain independent in the comfort and security of their own homes.
Requirements
- Compassion and empathy.
- Ability to use good judgment and remain calm.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide references.

- Experience with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to clients in their homes.
- Help carry out comprehensive, personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
- Provide companionship and ongoing social and emotional support.
- Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
- Prioritize order, safety, and client enjoyment.
- Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
- Document completed tasks and report changes in clients’ conditions.
