PCA Caregiver Needed
About The Position
Charter Oak Home Care is seeking experienced PCA, HHA, or CNA caregivers to support older adults in their homes in Torrington and surrounding towns. Caregivers help implement personalized care plans, assist with scheduled activities and care management, and provide support intended to enhance clients’ quality of life and independence. The role offers flexible scheduling, with shifts of 4–12 hours on any day of the week and openings ranging from 4 to 40 hours per week. Caregivers may design a part-time or full-time schedule. Work is available mornings through evenings, with weekend shifts also available.
Requirements
- Compassion and empathy.
- Good judgment and the ability to remain calm.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide references.

- Alzheimer’s or dementia experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to clients in their homes.
- Help execute personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
- Provide companionship and ongoing social and emotional support.
- Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
- Keep client safety, order, and enjoyment in mind.
- Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
- Document completed tasks and report changes in clients’ conditions.
