About The Position

Charter Oak Home Care is seeking an experienced caregiver to work with a woman in West Hartford, Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The client is at risk of falling and needs assistance with transfers, showering and toileting, housekeeping, and companionship. The position pays $18–$23 per hour. The caregiver helps implement personalized care plans and weekly schedules that support older adults’ well-being and quality of life. Duties include personal care, mobility assistance, companionship, social and emotional support, meal preparation, and care documentation. Other caregiver openings are also available, with shifts of 4–12 hours on any day of the week; schedules may be designed for part-time or full-time work. Requirements

Experienced caregiver, such as a PCA, HHA, or CNA.
Compassion and empathy.
Ability to use good judgment and remain calm.
Reliability and punctuality.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to pass a background check and provide references.

Nice To Haves

Alzheimer’s or dementia experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care to a dedicated client in the client’s home.
Help execute personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
Provide companionship and ongoing social and emotional support.
Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
Keep order, safety, and client enjoyment in mind.
Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
Document completed tasks and report changes in the client’s condition.
Assist with transfers, showering, and toileting for the specified client.
