About The Position

Charter Oak Home Care is seeking a caregiver to support a female client in Bristol. The schedule for this client is Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Duties include personal care, light housekeeping, transportation to local appointments, and companionship. The role involves helping implement personalized care plans and scheduled activities to support older adults’ well-being and quality of life at home. The company also has other openings with shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours on all days of the week. Caregivers may design a part-time or full-time schedule, with flexible schedules ranging from 4 to 40 hours per week. Charter Oak Home Care is family-run and has served Connecticut seniors since 1985, with a mission to help older adults remain independent in the comfort of their homes.

Requirements

Compassion and empathy.

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to pass a background check and provide references.

Nice To Haves

Alzheimer’s or dementia experience.
PCA, HHA, or CNA experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care to a client in their home.
Help execute personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
Provide companionship and ongoing social and emotional support.
Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
Keep order, safety, and client enjoyment top of mind.
Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
Document completed tasks and report changes in the client’s condition.
