About The Position

Charter Oak Home Care is seeking multiple experienced caregivers, including PCA, HHA, and CNA candidates, to provide in-home care to older adults in Torrington and surrounding towns. Caregivers help implement personalized care plans and support clients’ physical, social, and emotional well-being while helping them remain independent in their homes. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours and may be scheduled from mornings through evenings on any day of the week, including weekends. Caregivers can design a part-time or full-time schedule, with openings offering 4–40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Experience as a caregiver, such as PCA, HHA, or CNA.
• Compassion and empathy.
• Good judgment and the ability to remain calm.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide references.

Nice To Haves

• Alzheimer’s or dementia experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to clients in their homes.
• Help execute personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
• Provide companionship and ongoing social and emotional support.
• Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
• Keep client order, safety, and enjoyment in mind.
• Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
• Document completed tasks and report changes in clients’ conditions.
