About The Position

Charter Oak Home Care is seeking an experienced, reliable caregiver to support a female client in Bristol. The scheduled hours for this client are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Duties include personal care, light housekeeping, local transportation to appointments, and companionship. Pay is $18–$23 per hour. Caregivers help implement personalized care plans and schedules that support older adults’ well-being and quality of life at home. The company also has other client openings with shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours on all days of the week; caregivers may arrange a part-time or full-time schedule. Charter Oak Home Care is a family-run organization founded in 1985, serving Connecticut’s seniors with the goal of helping them remain independent in the comfort and security of their homes.

Requirements

Experience as a caregiver, such as PCA, HHA, or CNA.
Compassion and empathy.
Good judgment and the ability to remain calm.
Reliability and punctuality.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Ability to pass a background check and provide references.

Nice To Haves

Alzheimer’s or dementia experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver care to the client in her home.
Help execute comprehensive, personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
Provide companionship and ongoing social and emotional support.
Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
Keep the client’s safety, order, and enjoyment in mind.
Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
Document completed tasks and report changes in the client’s condition.
