About The Position

The Payroll Implementation Specialist, SMB, leads end-to-end client implementations of Asure’s payroll tax solution. The role translates client requirements into accurate, scalable configurations and is accountable for implementation scope, quality, and timelines from kickoff through stabilization. It includes discovery, configuration, client training, deployment, and support through the client’s first two successful payrolls. The specialist also promotes adoption of Asure products and procedures, shares project updates, coordinates with clients and internal teams to resolve hurdles, and works to create positive client experiences.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience supporting clients with US payroll and/or tax processing.
• At least 2 years of success in a dedicated account-ownership service model.
• Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and payroll principles.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

• CPP, FPC, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client implementations, applying product expertise to configure solutions accurately and achieve successful outcomes.
• Identify client business requirements during discovery.
• Configure Asure’s tax solution to meet client requirements.
• Deliver training on configured solutions, including group presentations and training sessions.
• Deploy the solution and complete implementations successfully.
• Support clients through their first two successful payrolls.
• Manage implementation scope, quality, and timelines, and deliver results on time.
• Ensure client adoption of the product and Asure procedures.
• Provide status reports and project updates to the project team.
• Anticipate and resolve project hurdles through coordination with clients and internal teams.
• Build client advocacy and deliver a positive customer experience.
