About The Position

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focused Patient Visit Specialist to provide support and customer service to patients and guests. The specialist personally guides patients who are unfamiliar with the program to their destination and provides a warm hand-off to staff. The role works directly with providers to coordinate care for each patient and supports patient visits from initial contact through follow-up, along with day-to-day office operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in a medical or physician office or comparable healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework in insurance or billing.
• Medical practice education or seminar experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for providers and staff with patient scheduling questions or concerns.
• Support patient visits through personalized attention to contact, referrals, check-in, check-out, and follow-up.
• Obtain insurance verification and secure authorizations required for services.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule office appointments.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Schedule research patients according to research protocols.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Personally guide patients unfamiliar with the program to their destination and provide a warm hand-off to staff.
• Coordinate care for patients in collaboration with providers.
