About The Position

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center and performs patient-related activities as assigned. Ensures patients are transported safely and uses proper body mechanics. Maintains PAR levels for equipment at locations throughout the Medical Center and works effectively with coworkers in Patient Transportation and other departments. Uses Epic software to track patient locations during transport and equipment movement throughout the facility. This is a part-time position at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, scheduled for 16 hours per week on a varying/rotating shift.

Requirements

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program certification.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of customer service experience.
