About The Position

Adult Medicine Clinic - Harborview has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. This full-time, 100% FTE role is based onsite at Harborview Medical Center and works a day shift, Monday through Friday, for 40 hours per week. The Adult Medicine Clinic serves adults aged 18 and older with wellness care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. Its multidisciplinary team includes professionals in mental health care, social work, chemical dependency, nutrition, clinical pharmacy, women's health, and patient education. The clinic is conveniently located near public transportation. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient and employee services and career growth. Harborview Medical Center is the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center. Owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine, it provides specialized care to patients throughout the Pacific Northwest, including vulnerable King County residents. Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent.
One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except where legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration, apply.

Responsibilities

Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging calls.
Schedule provider and ancillary service appointments.
Obtain patient demographic, financial, and clinical information.
Partner with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery.
Perform other duties as requested.
