Patient Services Specialist - Adult Medicine Clinic - Harborview
About The Position
The Patient Services Specialist 2 supports the Adult Medicine Clinic at Harborview, which provides comprehensive wellness care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses for adults 18 and older. The clinic is supported by professionals in mental health care, social work, chemical dependency, nutrition, clinical pharmacy, women's health, and patient education. This role provides staff, providers, and patients with efficient internal and external communications and helps coordinate appointments and collect patient information. The position is full-time, on-site, and follows a weekday day-shift schedule.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent, and one year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except where legal requirements such as a license, certification, or registration apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging calls.
- Schedule provider and ancillary service appointments.
- Obtain patient demographic, financial, and clinical information.
- Partner with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery.
- Perform other duties as requested.
