PSS / Patient Services Specialist - Urgent Care - Primary Care at Ballard
About The Position
UW Medicine Primary Care at Ballard is hiring a Patient Services Specialist 2 to support staff, providers, and patients by maintaining efficient internal and external communications and helping deliver a positive patient experience. The role includes answering and triaging calls, scheduling appointments, and collecting patient information. The successful candidate partners with the clinic team to support patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery. The position is part time at 75% FTE (30 hours per week) and works Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is classified as a first-shift, regular position. UW Medicine Primary Care at Ballard offers personalized primary care for patients at every stage of life, including routine and chronic care and treatment for illnesses and injuries.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering and triaging phone calls.
- Schedule provider and ancillary service appointments.
- Obtain patient demographic, financial, and clinical information.
- Partner with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery.
- Perform other duties as requested.
