About The Position

UW Medicine Primary Care at Ballard is hiring a Patient Services Specialist 2 to support staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications and help deliver exceptional care. The clinic provides personalized primary care for patients at every stage of life, as well as urgent care services. The position is part time at 75% FTE, or 30 hours per week, on a regular schedule: Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is a day-shift position.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging calls.
• Schedule provider and ancillary service appointments.
• Obtain patient demographic, financial, and clinical information.
• Partner with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery.
• Perform other duties as requested.
