PSS / Patient Services Specialist - Part Time - Urgent Care - UW Medicine Primary Care at Kirkland
About The Position
UW Medicine Primary Care at Kirkland is hiring a Patient Services Specialist 2 to support Urgent Care. The role provides an efficient system of internal and external communications for clinic staff, providers, and patients; schedules appointments; collects patient information; and partners with the clinic team to support patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery. The clinic offers primary care services and is conveniently located near public transportation. This is a regular, part-time position at 75% FTE (30 hours per week). The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 9:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m., and Saturday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. It is listed as a day shift. Pay ranges from $24.30 to $35.35 per hour, with a weekend pay differential. The position is represented by SEIU 1199NW UWMC Northwest Service and Maintenance.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide staff, providers, and patients with efficient internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging calls.
- Schedule provider and ancillary service appointments.
- Obtain patient demographic, financial, and clinical information.
- Partner with clinic team members to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery.
- Perform other duties as requested.
