About The Position

Come join an exciting and fast paced organization. SSGA is one of the leading Gastroenterology practices in the area. We strive for excellent service in a compassionate manner. Since 1971, our practice has expanded to 17 physicians and 13 advanced practitioners including a state of the art Endoscopy Center.

We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic and professional individual with the knowledge to drive our team to continued success. One who is passionate about their work and has complete dedication and determination to meet and exceed the needs of our patients.

Willing to train a highly motivated and dependable individual with no experience who obtains the eagerness to learn and offers excellent teamwork skills. This is a full time Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as a team as well as individually
• Ability to multitask and prioritize

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years medical office experience preferred
• Previous scheduling experience preferred
• Previous medical office software experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls
• Schedule appointments
• Route calls as appropriate to clinical staff
• Confirm insurance is a participating carrier
• Assist with various patient correspondences
• Call patients to schedule appointments from hospital consults and referrals
• Send follow up letters to primary care
