About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic is hiring a full-time Patient Service Representative for its West Jordan Urgent Care. Patient Service Representatives work closely with patients, physicians, and support staff to provide quality care. As the first point of contact for patients, the representative is expected to provide courteous service and communicate effectively. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Typing and keyboarding skills.
• Must be a team player who enjoys working with people.
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Additional language skills are helpful.
• Previous medical billing or office experience is preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients presenting for medical or other services in a courteous manner.
• Answer telephones professionally.
• Schedule appointments according to established procedures.
• Communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with physicians, clinic staff, and patients about appointment scheduling and other needs.
• Record demographic information needed to contact patients and/or bill insurance carriers for services provided.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
