About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic is hiring a full-time Patient Service Representative for its Murray Urology clinic. Patient Service Representatives work closely with patients, physicians, and support staff to help provide quality care. As the first point of contact for patients, the representative is expected to be compassionate and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Typing and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and enjoy working with people.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• Additional language skills.
• Previous medical billing or office experience.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients arriving for medical or other services in a courteous manner.
• Answer telephone calls professionally.
• Schedule appointments according to established procedures.
• Communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with physicians, clinic staff, and patients about appointment scheduling and other needs.
• Record demographic information needed to contact patients and/or bill insurance carriers for services provided.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
