About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic is hiring a full-time Patient Service Representative for its West Valley clinic. The role provides front-desk check-in services for Internal Medicine, ENT, Neurology, Allergy, and Vision practices. Patient Service Representatives work closely with patients, physicians, and support staff to help provide quality care. As a first point of contact, the representative is expected to offer compassionate service and communicate effectively with patients and clinic staff. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and pays $15–$18 per hour. The work takes place indoors in a climate-controlled environment and is sedentary, with lifting of up to 10 pounds and repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Typing and keyboarding skills.
Ability to work as a team player and enjoy working with people.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

Previous medical billing or office experience is preferred but not required.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Additional languages are helpful.

Responsibilities

Greet patients arriving for medical or other services courteously.
Answer telephones professionally.
Schedule appointments according to established procedures.
Communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with physicians, clinic staff, and patients about appointment scheduling and other needs.
Record demographic information needed to contact patients and/or bill insurance carriers for services provided.
Perform other duties as assigned.
