About The Position

UW Health is seeking a Patient Scheduling Representative to join their Internal Medicine team. This role is crucial for ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care by managing appointment scheduling. The representative will handle appointments via phone, in-person, and electronic correspondence, taking incoming calls from patients and their families, and making outgoing calls to schedule appointments. Collaboration with clinic staff is essential to coordinate patient care effectively.

Requirements

• 6 months previous experience in an office or customer service environment Required

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred
• Associate's degree, bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare, or another related field Preferred
• Previous experience working in healthcare Preferred
• Previous experience scheduling of patients Preferred
• Previous experience with answering phones, greeting clients and customers in person Preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments via phone, in-person or electronic correspondence.
• Take incoming phone calls from patients and their families to assist them with their appointment scheduling needs.
• Make outgoing phone calls to patients to schedule their appointments.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure that patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner.
