Patient Registrar - Clerical Float Pool

Presbyterian Healthcare Services
•$16 - $24•Onsite

About The Position

The Patient Registrar coordinates the encounter or episode process for patients and consumers by performing patient-registration activities. Accurate data capture is important to reducing denials. The role secures payment at the time of service, including co-insurance, copayments, residual balances, self-pay amounts, and deductibles. It also requires knowledge of insurance contract requirements and the use of tools to respond to network-provider questions. The registrar explains documents requiring patient or representative signatures. This is a PRN, non-exempt position in the Clerical Float Pool, based at the Reverend Hugh Cooper Administrative Center, with a day shift. The position supports patient registration and lobby operations, keeps patients informed of delays, and refers patients to financial advocacy resources when appropriate.
