Patient Financial Advocacy Coordinator
About The Position
Onco360 Pharmacy is seeking a Patient Financial Advocacy Coordinator with pharmacy technician and patient assistance program experience. The coordinator helps patients and/or their families access financial resources for pharmacy co-pays, including assistance through nonprofit organizations and manufacturer programs. The role involves identifying resources that fit patients’ needs, explaining assistance processes, helping complete applications, and reviewing the documents required for applications. The position is remote, full-time, and scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the Woodridge pharmacy. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour and up. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to employees who start before December 31, 2026.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of patient assistance program or patient advocacy experience.
- Registration with the Board of Pharmacy, as required by state law.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB).
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

- Associate degree.
- At least 3 years of patient assistance or advocacy experience.
- Specialty pharmacy experience.
Responsibilities
- Practice first-call resolution to help patients and families secure financial assistance for pharmacy co-pays.
- Maintain working knowledge of health insurance and pharmacy benefit coverage, cancer diagnoses, and drugs used in their treatment.
- Support applications for nonprofit and manufacturer assistance programs.
- Clearly explain insurance benefits and co-pay structures.
- Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance data in CPR+.
- Collaborate with pharmacy operations and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service.
- Help patients identify suitable financial resources, understand application processes, complete applications, and review required documentation.
