Patient Financial Advocacy Coordinator
About The Position
Onco360 is seeking a Patient Financial Advocacy Coordinator to help cancer patients and their families access financial resources for pharmacy co-pays. The coordinator identifies suitable nonprofit and manufacturer assistance programs, explains application requirements and insurance benefits, and helps patients complete applications and gather the required documentation. The role is full-time, remote, and based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour and up. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for employees starting before December 31, 2026.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of patient assistance or advocacy experience.
- Registration with the Board of Pharmacy, as required by state law.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB).
- At least 3 years of patient assistance or advocacy experience.
- Specialty pharmacy experience.
Responsibilities
- Practice first-call resolution to help patients and families secure financial assistance for pharmacy co-pays.
- Maintain working knowledge of health insurance and pharmacy benefit coverage, cancer diagnoses, and drugs used in treatment.
- Support applications for nonprofit and manufacturer assistance programs.
- Explain insurance benefits and co-pay structures clearly.
- Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance data in CPR+.
- Collaborate with pharmacy operations and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service.
- Help patients identify financial resources that fit their needs, understand the process, complete applications, and gather required documents.
