About The Position

Schweiger Dermatology is hiring a full-time Patient Coordinator for its Long Beach office. The Patient Coordinator executes front-office duties and supports patients, providers, and support staff. Previous healthcare experience is required. The role requires weekday availability and rotating Saturdays during operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., along with flexibility to help cover in a team environment.

Requirements

• Healthcare experience is required.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relations and customer service skills.
• Must be professional, reliable, and dedicated.
• Availability to work weekdays and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Medical receptionist experience.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Prior experience in a dermatology or medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming phone calls, scheduling-related tasks, and online leads efficiently and knowledgeably, creating a positive experience for each caller.
• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care for patients and providers.
• Understand patient-provider flow and anticipate providers’ next steps to the best of their ability.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities.
