Patient Care Technician - Certified Nursing Assistant-Day Shift
About The Position
Landmark Joplin is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant to support patients in an acute-care setting. The hospital includes a 17-bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital and a 12-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit, serving medically complex patients. Patient Care Technicians work alongside nursing, respiratory, and rehabilitation teams to contribute to patients’ care and recovery. This is a full-time day-shift position, with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role performs basic care skills under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and supports patients’ personal and psychosocial needs. A sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 is available based on experience.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification is required upon hire.
- One year of healthcare experience.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach.
- Strong team mindset.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification for the State of Missouri preferred.
- Hospital-level experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic care skills under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, including taking vital signs; measuring intake and output; providing catheter care; performing CPR; managing restraints; and supporting bowel and bladder training.
- Document care accurately in the patient record.
- Support licensed nurses in meeting patients’ needs related to personal hygiene, skin care, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, body mechanics, elimination, and psychosocial support.
