About The Position
Augusta Health is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician. Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, the technician performs duties that assist unit staff nurses and clerical specialists in supporting efficient unit operations and safe patient care according to established procedures. Duties include bathing, dressing, and feeding patients; taking vital signs; and performing phlebotomy and EKGs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet educational requirements associated with hospital certifications, such as Stroke or Orthopedic/Spine certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of the first semester of clinical rotations in an RN program.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Virginia.
- Previous acute care hospital work experience.
Responsibilities
