About The Position
Baystate Health is recruiting Patient Care Technicians for multiple inpatient departments at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The role supports patients and nursing teams by providing compassionate hands-on care and helping deliver safe, high-quality care. Opportunities are available for current and upcoming openings, with schedules and departments discussed during recruitment. Full-time, part-time, and per-diem opportunities are listed; the shift is days, primarily 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with an every-other-weekend requirement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of patient care experience, including long-term care, specialty care, or acute care.
- Patient Care Technician (PCT) training or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities, mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
- Monitor and document vital signs and intake/output, and report changes in patient condition.
- Assist with patient safety, treatments, and procedures.
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.
